Aquatain AMF® prevents mosquito breeding

Aquatain AMF® is a liquid silicone-based liquid that forms a thin film on stagnant water collections. It works in several ways, partly because the liquid silicone-based membrane prevents mosquito larvae and mosquito pups from passing through the water surface to reach air. The eggs die and the membrane prevents the mosquito female from laying new eggs in treated water collections. This prevents mosquitoes at all stages from being developed and propagated in an environmentally friendly way.

One bottle contains 250ml which is enough for 250m2 of stagnant water for 4 weeks.
The extremely thin membrane does not affect fish, birds or other animals that live in or off the water. No effect on man, animal or nature but on all mosquito species.
The membrane is not affected by rain that simply flows through.

How to use

Drop Aquatain AMF® directly into the water. A thin silicone film is created on the water surface and spreads throughout the surface. Already after a couple of hours, mosquito larvae, eggs and dropped to the bottom and stopped the propagation process.

Aquatain AMF® is a blend of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) 89% and 8% mineral oil, PDMS is a proven silicone oil used in pharmaceutical, food and other industries Aquatain AMF® works exclusively through physical-mechanical action and therefore does not need to be included in the EU biocidal register. PDMS has a NSF permit in the US which means that it can be used in drinking water reservoirs and has been used since 2008 Durable 36 months from date of manufacture.
